I did so much research on so many baseball gloves, and after making such a big mistake on my first slowpitch glove, I stumbled upon this brand and this glove. I absolutely love this glove. It came in pretty stiff, so break in was a must. It has broken in nicely, and can handle whatever style break in you choose. I broke it in with two hinges for a thumb to almost pinky close when being used two in the pinky. When I wear it traditional, it has a nice break in and closes thumb to middle, almost pointer finger for me. If in case you didn't figure it out, I use this glove for slowpitch softball, and I highly recommend this one if you want an amazing quality glove that fits the needs for a 12in softball. So you don't have to waste time doing your own research, think of this glove series (Matrix) as a Rawlings heart of the hide ($299) with Wilson's dual welting design on the glove. Buckler added a different leather material in the thumb loop that feels comfortable and soft instead of it being hard leather. If you want to reference what that feels like, go to an academy and feel the thumb loop of a heart of the hide when you insert your hand in the glove. They even added finger stall padding/felt for a stiffer feel on the finger stalls to reduce the "floppy" feel older gloves give over time, or even some new gloves give in warm to hot weather. (Like the new glove I bought 3 months ago that became floppy the first month of playing.) I've seen gloves in the $400 range offer that extra padding/felt in the finger stalls and call it "pro stiff". This is almost half the cost for the quality. And the leather matches that of a Rawlings heart of the hide glove. Definitely a huge upgrade from my first glove, and definitely quality enough to last me a long time with proper care and conditioning. The glove comes with a nice bag that it can be placed in to store it away. It was a nice touch. Overall, the highest quality you can find at such an incredible price. And the Camel color is so beautiful in person.
